Sunrider MLM Review

Sunrider is a typical MLM company that sells herbal products such as healthy snacks, teas, diet pills, and household products. The issue with Sunrider is that it is not cheap with its’ startup costs and their products are not in the cutting edge category to be sold in a market that has a lot of competition. I will present the facts in my Sunrider MLM Review.

Sunrider MLM Review

What is Sunrider MLM?

Sunrider

So this multi-level marketing company has specific products in herbal supplements and extracts. But they also promote kosher and halal certified products and have also branched out into the cosmetics area as well.

Sunrider was founded by Tei-Fu Chen and produces revenue of over $700 million and is still operational today.

They are mainly doing business in Asia and such countries as Korea, Taiwan, Hong King, and its biggest market in China. But they also do business in the United States.

Sunrider does have huge variety or products that they promote including skin care, cosmetics, supplements for nutrition, and products for weight loss.

Sunrider’s Product Line

These are Sunrider’s Products and they are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.

Sunrider has a wide variety of different product categories listed below:

  • Cosmetics
  • Herbal Foods and Drinks
  • Herbal Nutritional Supplements
  • Household Cleaners
  • Oral Care
  • Personal Care (Hair and Body Products)
  • Skin Care
  • Weight loss/active lifestyle

These are a few of their actual products:

Sunrider Herbal Foods and Beverages

Sunrider Herbal Concentrates

Kandesn® & Oi-Lin® Skin Care

Sunrider does have a wide variety of useful products, but there’s no way of finding out what ingredients each product may contain because there’s no proof of this existing on their website. They claim their products will help you but there’s no evidence to back that up.

Are Sunrider’s Products Worth their Price?

While I’m impressed with Sunrider’s products, I am not impressed with their prices. It’s important to have products that are reasonably priced because otherwise it makes it harder to sell them. You want to represent products that are competitive and not priced out of the buyers range.

One such product is their laundry detergent which lists for more than $50! For that price I could almost buy new clothes. I assure you that people will search elsewhere for detergent at those prices. And the fact is that Sunrider’s prices are consistent across the board.

The markups are astronomical for every product. I would not represent Sunrider’s products based on their prices alone!

The Sunrider MLM Opportunity

Below you will see what your first three months will entail with the Sunrider Fast Start Program:

How Much Does it Cost to Join Sunrider?

To join Sunrider you are required to pay:

  • $120 membership fee
  • $120 starter pack
  • $200 monthly auto-ship

Can You Make Money with Sunrider ?

First of all, it’s a lot of money just to join and then you have to meet their quotas. While that’s something to consider, another is that you have to consistently be building your downline just like you would with any multi-level marketing company.

A perk of a 20% discount for wholesale is a good thing, but I don’t feel you can make money with this company without spending a lot of time and money to experience success. You can read it for yourself above in the Fast Start Program. I just don’t see a positive outcome in the future with Sunrider.

Reviews

Here are a couple of positive and negative reviews about Sunrider products:

Pros:

  • Sunbreeze Oil provides can provide hours of relief for an aching back or sore muscles.
  • The products do work very well.
  • Best for topical pain.

Cons:

  • Products are too expensive and the start up costs are huge. It’s $120 for a yearly membership fee and you need this so you can get your products at a wholesale discount. In addition, you must buy a Starter Pack at $120. And finally you are required to signh up for Sunrider’s monthly auto-ship program which hits you for another $200! All this before you even earn a single cent!
  • Legal issues in the 1990’s
  • Company guilty of tax evasion.
  • Accused of false health claims in the years of  the mid 2ooo’s.

Is Sunrider Worth Joining?

I don’t like MLM companies because you spend all your time recruiting your downline. It’s a lot of work and requires a good deal of money and a great deal of time and patience. I would not recommend joining Sunrider for these reasons. But there are much better ways to make money online.

Final Thoughts

I hope that I’ve given you enough information in My Sunrider MLM Review for you to determine if this company is for you or not. As far as I’m concerned, there are very few MLM companies that I feel are worth joining.

It took me many years to find a program as good as my #1 recommendation. There isn’t a better way to try something as good as this recommendation without a big investment. You are provided with many tools, 2 free websites with hosting, the absolute best training anywhere and no better support 24/7.

In my opinion there’s no better way to make money online than my #1 recommendation.

  1. Hi Rob
Maybe there is an element of branded perceived value that becomes a self-serving justification for a high price. If they are able to create a mystique around their products just from the brand name then it may not matter to the customer that the ingredients are low cost if they think they are getting high value. I think the people I knew who were selling and buying Sunrider products believed this.

    • Hey Andy,
You may be right about the justification for a high price. Some people may not care. But as far as I can see from past experiences high prices do matter to most folks. But your point is well taken. Sunrider does have excellent products. For me, I just don’t like high product items with MLM companies. Thanks for your feed back! 🙂

  2. Hello there, This is an amazing article that you have got here. The information that you offered are very helpful. I believe that with Sunrider multi level marketing company hard working people will do better with them. Since there is no easy to get rich scheme that does not require hard work. However, I see it as a waste of time and resource.

Thanks for sharing this with me.

    • Hi there and thank you! I did some research on Sunrider but as with any other MLM company, it’s all about recruiting your downline.

Anything worthwhile is worth working hard for. MLM companies are way too much work with very little compensation.

The biggest problem is always having to build your downline. Without recruiting others, you won’t be successful about building this business with Sunrider.

Hard work is okay but not when it takes forever to make any money.

I appreciate your comments. Thanks! 🙂

  3. Hello and thank you for this very detailed and informative review on sunrider mlm. I heard about this from a friend some days back as I was discussing with her that I need something that I do online that will fetch me some money. Her explanation was quite okay, but decided to do some research on it. This review has answered so many questions in my mind regarding sunrider mlm. Also thank for your number one recommendation. I’m giving it due consideration also.

    • Hi Jomata,

You’re welcome! People are always looking for ways to make money. Unfortunately, as far as I’m concerned, MLM never works.

Companies like Sunrider may have excellent products, but when the prices are so high that recruiters can’t afford them, then how can their customers afford them either?

Wealthy Affiliate is an excellent choice when it comes to making money online. There’s no products and no recruiting your downline.

I appreciate your feedback. Thank you 🙂

  4. I don’t think I have come across a single MLM company that looked on the up and up. Maybe this was a business model that had a certain rationale some time ago. But it seems that all of them suffer from similar weaknesses of hyped up claims of untold riches whereas the products themselves are often of dubious quality and vastly overblown prices. When I lived in the Netherlands there was always someone in the neighborhood trying to sell us Sunrider products. Thank you for a clear and straightforward review. Best regards, Andy

    • Hey Andy 🙂

I have to agree with you. There are a zillion MLM programs out there and I never trusted even one of them.

Sunrider is no different and the products are so expensive that I don’t know how anyone affords them let alone get other people to buy them as well.

And of course the problem with MLM is that you’re constantly trying to build your downline. Most people don’t survive in the MLM field and Sunrider is no exception.

The few who do make money spend a lot of time and money trying to get there. No thanks!

Thank you for your comments. 🙂

  5. Thanks for this review of Sunrider Rob. I’ve always observed MLM companies from a safe distance and this has only made me take a few steps further away. As one who’s never been comfortable with selling one-on-one, I’d be hard pressed to try and convince anyone to part with $440 just to get their foot through the door. It would even be harder if the reviews the prospects encountered were of adulterated products, the good reviews of pain relieving products notwithstanding.

I’m sorry but this has too many cons for me. Thanks for honestly sharing your opinion too.

    • Hi Mark 🙂

First of, you’re welcome! I agree with keeping your distance from any MLM company. It always costs you money right from the start.

But the biggest issue is that you have is to continuously build your downline by recruiting repeatedly.

I was never a fan of MLM at all and I know from experience. For me it didn’t work.

And you shouldn’t have to lay out any money initially to get into a program. I agree that there are too many cons.

Wealthy Affiliate is a prime example of that. And it is the premier company to promote anything you want.

      Thanks for stopping by!
